FAUSTI - Man's resistance to the Word of Truth is a mystery that upsets the Lord Himself: "Adam, where are you?" (Gen. 3:9), why are you no longer at home in your truth? It is the first question of God in search of man, who has hidden himself from light and from life. There has been a serious accident, which prevents him from understanding the Word from which and for which he is made. There is a lie in him that keeps him slave to fear, in the darkness of death. They are not children of the Father of truth: their father is the devil, whose lie divided them from the Father. Their action is moved by the desires of the divider, which are murders, because outside of the truth. The real murder is to take away from man his reality as a son: to alienate him from the Father is to make him extraneous to himself and to everything. One does not believe in the Son because one does not dwell in the Word, but in lies. Jesus is the Son, who fully lives the truth of God as Father... Man needs to be accepted. He lives or dies depending on whether or not he is accepted by the other. Only those who know themselves to be loved unconditionally are free to love themselves and others. For this reason, the principle of our freedom is the Truth of Jesus, the beloved Son, who reveals to us our identity as children loved by the Father. The Father seeks the Glory of the Son, is His own and in the end He will glorify Him, justifying His Words. Whoever listens to Him, has overcome sin and death: even if he dies, he will live. His listeners ask Him who He claims to be, if all the servants of the Word, from Abraham to the prophets, are dead. Jesus responds by proclaiming Himself whose Father is the One Whom they call their God. He is the Son, Who was at the beginning: He is "I am". If one glorifies himself, he is vainglorious and ignores the true glory, that which comes from God. The glory of Jesus, the Son, comes from His Father, who is the One they call their God. If one glorifies himself, he is vainglorious and ignores the true glory, that which comes from God. The glory of Jesus, the Son, comes from His Father, who is the one they call their God. For they want to kill the Son who reveals Him. Jesus knows Him and came to show us Him, because we also know Him. They lie when they say that they know Him ; He would lie if He said that He didn't know Him. - "Before Abraham was, " I AM!" First Abraham was not, then he came into existence and ultimately died. Before him, and first and foremost, there is "I AM". "I AM" is the Name, the revelation of the faithful and liberator God, Whom we will know from the Son of Man raised up (v.24,28). These Words are the summit of the manifestation of Jesus: He is the Son, equal to the Father, Who reveals to us God as His Father and ours. The chapter opened with the attempt to stoning the woman who had sinned(5), now it closes with the attempt to stoning to death the Son who brings Father's forgiveness to His brothers and sisters. Jesus hid and came out of the temple. The new temple, full of God's Glory, is the Son, where the Father is worshiped in Spirit and Truth.
